Driver Qualification

 

Drivers operating regulated commercial vehicles must satisfy applicable qualification and licensing requirements.

 

Hours-of-Service Compliance

 

AASC expects drivers and operations personnel to comply with applicable hours-of-service and electronic logging requirements.

 

Vehicle Inspection

 

Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections are important components of equipment readiness.

 

Preventive Maintenance

 

Maintenance should be documented and performed according to applicable requirements and company maintenance schedules.

 

Cargo Securement

 

Cargo must be transported and secured according to applicable requirements and shipment-specific instructions.

 

Drug & Alcohol Compliance

 

Applicable DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements form part of AASC's regulated transportation compliance program.

 

Documentation

 

Required operating, driver, equipment, shipment, inspection, and compliance records must be properly maintained.

 

Continuous Improvement

AASC uses inspections, maintenance information, operating experience, driver feedback, and regulatory information to identify opportunities for improvement.
